Why do we ask for Facility Fees?
Compassion Kadampa Buddhist Centre is a voluntary not-for-profit organization. Neither the Resident Teacher nor any of the other Teachers and volunteer members are paid for their services to provide the classes to the general public.
Facility Fee money is used to pay for the running costs of the Centre building and administration – you are not paying for the teachings; these are given freely. Anyone who genuinely cannot pay for a class due to financial hardship will not be turned away.
Voluntary donations are always very welcome to help keep the Centre functioning for the benefit of people in the local area. Any excess funds are donated to the International Temples Project – a charity building for World Peace with the aim of providing a qualified Kadampa Temple in every major city in the world.
