Half-Day Retreat

Sun, 27th Sep  |  9am – 1pm
with Buddhist Teacher, Kandhi

Meditation is one of the most powerful tools we have for finding lasting peace of mind, yet many of us have never learned how to do it properly, or understood what our mind actually is. This foundational retreat is the perfect starting point for anyone new to meditation, and a valuable refresher for those looking to strengthen their practice.

During this retreat, Kandhi will guide us through a basic breathing meditation designed to disengage the mind from the busyness of everyday life and create a special feeling of inner peace. By learning to focus single-pointedly on the sensation of the breath, we gradually let go of distracting thoughts and experience a mind that feels lucid, spacious, and refreshed.

We will also explore the nature, function, and location of the mind itself. Although we all have a mind, and know at any moment whether it feels happy or sad, clear or confused, few of us could say what our mind truly is, how it works, or where it resides. Through direct experience, this retreat offers a genuine voyage of exploration into your own mind, uncovering the potential for lasting peace and happiness that lies within.

By the end of this retreat, you will have a practical, working understanding of how to meditate and how your mind functions, giving you the tools to begin bringing your mind under control and improving the quality of your life, both now and in the future.
